There are more than 20 inpatient health care facilities that provide nursing and personal care over an extended period of time (usually more than 30 days). Clients can include the chronically ill, frail elderly individuals or people with disabilities as well as people who require convalescent care.
Retirement Homes
Retirement Homes
Residential homes or facilities offer personal care and attention for older adults, people with disabilities and others whose limitations prevent them from living alone. Also known as adult residential care homes, these facilities generally provide a room (which may be shared), meals, supervision, assistance with grooming and daily living activities, and may specialize in specific needs for people with Alzheimer s disease or with developmental disabilities.
